These
courses range from 1 month to 12 month and help students
to get an introduction to the subject. There are
mainly meant for students, who like to understand what
is IT as a whole or what is Office 2003 or for
professionals, like Medical Practitioner's course
to help them in their job.
These are
not related to job generally and do not create a
skillset that is unique in nature and help student to
make him stand apart during a job interview process.
The
objective here are laid mainly to understand the
subject, and then choose the specialization
area of the student's
choice.
Most of
these can be ideally done after finishing the Madhyamik
or HS exam.
These
courses will also help students, to learn and prepare
for finding the information related to
SAT exam
(a US Government scholarship test, where indian students
are elligible to sit for), or details about
GRE
(for graduate engineers masters course admission
scholarship scheme in US),
TOEFL, IIT JEE, JEE, Indian Civil Services
(IAS exam)
etc.
These are
also meant to help student to start doing research on
his current mainstream education topic on Internet, use
the computer programs to create and present a project,
do simple calculations, using spreadsheet etc.
We
actively encourage parents to help students to choose
their subject of choice, as against the parental wishes.
The student himself should ideally become responsible
for his selection, rather than his parents.
