Create his personal webpage and upload his own resume for free, Qualify to enrol in advanced Office 2003 course leading to MCP, Qualify to enrol in advanced Windows XP Course leading to MCP

Eligibility: HS Examinations appeared/passed out and Graduating students

Duration: 12 months

Certificate: HexCode Technologies will award certificate of competencies after the course completion.

Content: Computer Fundamentals (24 hours)
Basics of Computer Hardware: Familiarity with Motherboard.
Familiarity with Hard Disk, RAM, CDROM, DVDROM, FDD, Keyboard, Mouse, SMPS and Printers, Familiarity with USB 1.1 and USB 2.0, Familiarity with CMOS Setup, Familiarity with Windows Booting. Setup Hard Disk for Loading OS: Partition of Hard Disk, FAT32, NTFS File System, Installation of Operating Systems: Win XP SP2, Local area network (LAN): TCP/IP Protocol, IP Address, NetMask, Packet Internet Groper (PING) utility, tracer utility, route add utility, File/folder sharing, printer sharing.

Windows XP Basics (36 Hours course)
Starting Windows XP, Getting To Know The Windows XP Environment, Customizing The Start Menu, Starting And Ending Your Computer Session, Managing Files And Folders, Using The Search Companion, Using Notepad, Using The Address Book, Using The Command Prompt, Manipulating Windows, Resizing and Moving Windows, Understanding Windows Menus, Using Windows Update, Using Accessibility Programs, Customizing The Desktop, Customizing The Taskbar, Working With Toolbars.

Office 2003 Basics (60 hours course)
Word 2003, Use of Word, creation of document, editing document, formatting, of document, different views, creating tables, embedding objects, printing of document etc. Excel 2003, Use of Excel, creating a spreadsheet, simple formula, use of pivot tables, automatic calculation, printing area etc. PowerPoint 2003, Use of PowerPoint, creating a presentation, use of slides, formatting, slide design, automatic slide show, connecting different presentation etc. Outlook 2003 Use of Outlook, writing mail, saving draft mail, maintaining calendar, appointment booking, TO Do task list, Flagging mail, forwarding mail, responding to mail etc.

Internet Basics (24 hours course)
Internet Explorer 6.0, Internet browsing, address bar, IE Options, security, connection, web form fill out, password remembering, search engine usage, creating portal id, creating web presence (creation of simple home page- The candidate should actually be allowed to create a portal id like abcd@yahoo.com and reserve space for their homepage)
