The process of computing resources which are dynamically scalable and frequently virtualized and provided over the internet as a service is popularly known as cloud computing. The purpose is to support the users, with the “cloud”, who need not have to have the knowledge, control or expertise over the technological infrastructure in this regard.
Earlier multiple servers were assigned to perform different activities. It has been normally found that out of the total number of servers available, most of them were either not delivering as expected or were out of order.
There are traditionally two types of cloud computing system available in the market.
The first one being a private or internal cloud, where one uses a completely private network for computing. The other being the public or external cloud where resources are dynamically provisioned on a fine-grained, self-service base over the Internet, via web applications/web services, from an off-site third-party provider who shares resources and bills on a fine-grained utility computing basis.
