The foundation stone of HexCode Technologies Pvt Ltd was laid in Berhampore, India, in the year 2005. The quest of spreading computer awareness among masses, we initiated talks with two leading computer education providers in West Bengal, India. We were considering the option of opening an educational institute under their franchisee chain. The several discussions and a survey on the concerned project took us nowhere. We eventually dropped out the plan realizing the lack of motivational options for would be faculty to put in their best. Since the prime objective was to create extraordinaire professionals out of ordinary students and migrate them to Tokyo to contribute their expertise on some major professional projects. The high-end goal was to critically nurture young minds with sound technical knowledge, making them marker ready, so that they could be placed on the same pedestal where the contemporary technical minds were stationed.

Henceforth, we started off independently by hiring fresh graduate engineers from the three Engineering colleges in Berhampore at attractive salary packages. We wanted them to be MCSE, CCNP Certified. Relevant hardware, software and books were provided to them for preparation. They were supposed to train students and make them competent in the arena of latest global technologies. We donated books to the Principals of the colleges, so that they understand what is happening in the real world, and can suitably guide their students.

Several visits were made to various colleges and institutions with the aim of making the fresh recruited graduates aware of the contemporary technical situations. However, with the passage of time, it was becoming relatively clear that the selected candidates were not believing our story and hence could not deliver at the level at which they were expected. Realizing that we are heading to nowhere, this project resulted to absolute nothingness. We understood that not only did we need to motivate them with our stories of struggle, success and failure; we also needed to make it realistically believable. We utterly failed to ignite the Dreams in their mind. It was a great learning for us.

We at HexCode, decided to visit various educational institutes for technical interactions with students. To our surprise, some of the authorities were more interested only in settling the accounts through these deals rather than creating an opportunity for the younger generation. Initially we committed to few of such deals, but eventually realized that this was far from what was there in our vision.

HexCode also worked on the creation of a chat room or a multi-user forum – a platform for varied users who could interact among themselves. It aimed at aiding in a unique way by offerings an option of collaborative learning. The lack of interest among the students, to learn something new saw the termination of the project.

This was no where close to our vision, but we had the fervor to continue!
